Entrepreneurship Training Checklist
Use this checklist to organise an entrepreneurship training from the first planning decision to opening the training room. Set the date, location, budget and programme before inviting participants, then track registrations, dietary requirements and materials in one updated list. Book trainers, speakers, catering and equipment early, especially when the session includes presentations or hands-on worksheets. In the final week, confirm attendance, test the projector and laptop, prepare badges and certificates, and bring every material to the venue.

Tips
- Set the date, location, budget and participant fee before sending invitations. Build the programme around the confirmed trainers and guest speakers so the registration form contains accurate timings and expectations.
- Close registration early enough to confirm numbers with the caterer and training room. Keep dietary requirements beside the participant list rather than collecting them informally in separate messages.
- Collect presentations and finish worksheets before the final week. Prepare name badges, certificates, pens and notepads at the same time so missing print items are noticed before the training day.
- Test the laptop, projector, projection screen, HDMI cable, microphone and power connections at the venue in advance. Pack extension cords and power strips even if the room appears to have enough outlets.
- Plan the room setup before participants arrive: place tables and chairs, prepare the registration desk, set out coffee and tea, and open the training room with enough time for a final equipment check.
Frequently asked questions
- How far in advance should I organise an entrepreneurship training?
- Start planning at least 6 to 8 weeks ahead if trainers, guest speakers, catering and a dedicated training room are involved. Aim to send invitations once the date, programme outline, fee and registration form are ready.
- When should I confirm the number of participants for catering?
- Confirm the participant count and dietary requirements 3 to 5 days before the training. This gives the caterer time to adjust portions while leaving room to update badges, worksheets and certificates.
- What equipment do I need for an entrepreneurship training?
- For a presentation-led session, plan for a laptop, projector, projection screen, HDMI cable, extension cords, power strips and a wireless microphone if the room is large. Add a flip chart and markers for exercises or group work.
- When should I prepare name badges and certificates?
- Prepare both at least 2 days before the training, after registrations have been checked. Keep a few blank badges available for late changes, and verify participant names against the latest list before printing certificates.
