Tips

Count jump stands, springboards and spare jump refills against the number of obstacles in the course, and keep replacement parts ready before the first horse starts.
Provide horse water troughs, drinking hoses, hay racks, brushes, wheelbarrows and pitchforks where riders can reach them; check the water connection at least one day before the competition.
Set up separate furniture for registration and judging: allow one registration desk, one judges’ table and enough folding tables and chairs for the people working on the day.
Test the laptop, printer, megaphone, walkie-talkies and stopwatches before opening registration. Pack extension cords and power strips as well as coolers and coffee machines if the venue has limited facilities.
