What you need for an animation workshop
An animation workshop needs more than laptops and a projector. You also need enough workstations, headphones, power connections and simple setup materials for everyone to work without sharing equipment. Plan drinks and coffee for the full session, then prepare name badges, handouts and clear signs before participants arrive. Use this shopping list to check the practical items that are easy to overlook, especially cables, adapters, USB storage and extension leads.

Tips
- Plan one laptop or tablet and one pair of headphones per participant where possible. If people must share devices, divide them into fixed pairs before the workshop starts.
- Count power strips and extension cords by workstation, not by room. A useful starting point is one power strip for every four to six devices, plus at least two spare charging connections.
- Bring at least one USB stick for each small working group, and keep two extra sticks available for file transfers or lost storage. Test the sticks before the workshop.
- Allow two to three drinks per person for the first hour, then one drink per person for each additional hour. For coffee and tea, prepare at least one cup per attendee, plus 10% extra.
- Set aside name badge holders, printed handouts and arrow signs before opening the venue. Prepare these at least 30 minutes before registration so setup time is not spent searching for small items.
