Tips

Count chairs twice: plan ceremony chairs separately from reception seating, especially if guests will move between spaces. Add a clear transfer plan or arrange extra chairs so nobody is left standing.
Allow at least one place setting per guest, plus serving spoons and platters for each buffet section. For a seated meal, match dinner plates, cutlery and water glasses to the confirmed guest list, then add roughly 5% spare.
