What to buy for a DJ workshop

A DJ workshop needs more than controllers and laptops. Tips

Plan one DJ controller, laptop, pair of headphones and laptop stand per participant, unless your workshop program explicitly uses shared stations. Keep at least one spare audio cable and a small set of batteries on hand.
Bring one power strip for every two to three stations and add extension cords or cable reels where outlets are more than a few metres away. Use cable mats anywhere participants or instructors will walk across cables.
Prepare one USB stick per participant plus two spare sticks, and check the music files before the workshop starts. Do not wait until registration to discover that files are missing or incompatible.
For a two-hour workshop, allow roughly two drinks per participant and one additional drink for the instructor, then add water and coffee supplies. Chill the drinks before guests arrive and place glasses near the refreshment table.
