Tips
- Bring at least one spare ball for every active playing area, plus cones or marker discs to define boundaries and waiting zones. Check ball pressure and equipment condition before the tournament day.
- Allow two to three drinks per participant for the first hour, then roughly one drink per person per additional hour. Use coolers and chill drinks before setup rather than relying on a last-minute ice run.
- For a coffee and tea station, provide one cup per expected user plus at least 10% extra, along with thermos flasks or enough machines and kettles to avoid a queue between matches.
- Count reusable glasses, cups, plates and cutlery against your highest simultaneous attendance, not the total number of registered players. Add 10% spare tableware for breakages, missing items and volunteers.
- Pack first aid kits, extension cords, power strips and a wireless microphone before loading catering supplies. These items are commonly left until the final setup check, when access to shops may be limited.
Frequently asked questions
- What drinks do I need for a corporate tournament?
- Plan on two to three drinks per person for the first hour, followed by about one per person per hour. Include chilled options, water and enough reusable glasses or cups for the busiest break period.
- How many spare balls should I buy for a corporate tournament?
- Have at least one spare ball per active field, and preferably two if matches run continuously. Check the match balls and spares at least one day before the tournament.
- How much tableware do I need for a corporate tournament?
- Count one plate, one cutlery set and one drinking vessel per person who may eat or drink at the same time, then add 10%. Coffee cups should cover the largest expected coffee queue, not just the number of teams.
- When should I buy supplies for a corporate tournament?
- Complete the main shopping at least two days before the event. Buy or collect chilled drinks, fresh snacks and ice on the day, ideally two to three hours before participants arrive.
