What to Buy for a Tennis Tournament
A tennis tournament needs more than rackets and balls. Plan supplies for registration, scoring, hydration, catering and the practical problems that appear between matches. Bring enough new and spare tennis balls, plus backup equipment, coolers, cups and printed scorecards. This list also covers the items people often arrange too late, such as power access, shade, towels and a working printer for last-minute schedule changes.

Tips
- Allow at least 3β4 tennis balls per court for the tournament, plus 1β2 spare tubes per court. Check the balls before match day and keep replacements at the registration desk.
- Plan 500β750 ml of water per player for every 2 hours of play, then add extra drinks for warm weather. Fill the coolers before the first matches and keep a separate supply for officials and supervisors.
- Print scorecards, placards and the final match schedule at least 24 hours beforehand. Bring a laptop, printer, extension cords and power strips so you can handle a late withdrawal or schedule change on site.
- Set aside one complete backup setup: spare rackets, extra balls, towels and power banks. These are easy to overlook and difficult to replace once matches have started.
- Buy or collect catering supplies no later than the day before, while leaving fresh products until the event day. Count reusable cups, coffee cups, plates and cutlery for every participant, supervisor and guest, then add 10% extra.
