Pub Quiz Shopping List

A pub quiz needs more than questions and a projector. You will need printed answer and score sheets, pens for every team, reliable presentation equipment, serving items, drinks, snacks and prizes. This shopping list helps you cover the items people often remember too late, such as spare cables, team cards, bottle openers and enough tableware. Tips

Plan one pen per player plus at least 10 spare pens. Put the pens on the tables before guests arrive so registration does not delay the first round.
Print one answer sheet per team for each round, plus 10 spare sheets, and prepare at least two score sheets per team in case one is lost or damaged.
For drinks, start with two to three drinks per person for the first hour, then add roughly one drink per person for every further hour. Chill more than you expect to serve and keep a bottle opener at each service point.
Allow one plate and one reusable glass per guest, with 10% extra for breakages or misplaced items. Add serving platters and utensils before you begin preparing snacks, not when guests are already seated.
Test the laptop, projector, screen, speakers, microphone and HDMI connection at least 60 minutes before the quiz. Pack spare extension cords, power strips and a copy of the quiz file on a USB drive.
