Tips

Bring at least one spare battery for every camera and wireless device, and charge all batteries the day before. A low battery during the concert is harder to fix than a missing accessory during setup.
Allow one HDMI cable and one network cable for each active connection, plus at least two spare cables of each type. Label both ends before setup so the video mixer and streaming laptop can be traced quickly.
Plan one microphone stand for every microphone used at the same time, including vocal and instrument microphones. Keep spare XLR cables and DI boxes near the audio mixer rather than in a storage area.
Use cable reels and extension cords long enough to reach the workstations without crossing walkways. Add cable trays and secure loose runs before the technical test, not after the audience has joined the stream.
Set up the camera, audio and streaming workstations at least 2 hours before the broadcast. Test the internet connection with the full video setup running, because an idle connection test does not show the real upload load.
