Tips

Prepare one work folder, notepad and ballpoint pen for every participant, plus 5–10% extra. Include pencils, sticky notes and an English-Dutch dictionary if learners may need language support.
Allow one name badge per participant, teacher and organiser, with at least 10% spare. Lay them out before people arrive so registration does not delay the first exercise.
Check the presentation setup at least 24 hours before the course. Test the laptop, projector, screen, HDMI cable, speaker and microphone together, and bring extension cords and power strips.
Count tableware against the catering plan rather than the headcount alone. For a full-day course, provide at least one coffee cup, drinking glass, plate, knife, fork and spoon per person, with 10% extra.
Buy fresh catering supplies on the day before or the morning of the course, depending on shelf life. Keep chilled food cool until serving and prepare serving platters before participants take their seats.
