Boxing Camp Shopping List
A boxing camp needs more than gloves and punching bags. Youβll need enough protective equipment for every participant, plus mats, training aids, drinks, meals and practical supplies for registration and first aid. Check quantities against your participant list before shopping, especially for hand wraps, reusable cups and safety gear. Plan the final equipment check at least one day before the camp so missing items can still be borrowed or bought.

Tips
- Aim for one pair of boxing gloves and one head protector per participant if everyone trains at the same time. If equipment is shared, add cleaning supplies and schedule enough time between rounds for it to be used safely.
- Bring at least one spare pair of gloves and extra hand wraps for every 10 participants. These are often forgotten when a participant arrives without suitable equipment or a wrap gets damaged.
- Allow two to three drinks per person during the first training hour, then refill the drinks point throughout the day. Chill drinks in coolers before participants arrive and keep a separate supply for trainers and supervisors.
- Use enough mats to cover every marked training zone, including the care room and areas around punching bags. Add crash mats and stair cushions before the safety check rather than trying to find them during setup.
- Pack extension cords, power strips and LED lamps even if the venue has electricity. Speakers, registration equipment and training areas may need power in different places, and indoor venues can have dark corners.
Frequently asked questions
- What equipment do I need for a boxing camp?
- At minimum, plan boxing gloves, head protectors, hand wraps, punching bags, crash mats, fitness mats and training aids such as skipping ropes and cones. Add one usable set of protective gear per participant when everyone trains at once.
- How many boxing gloves do I need for a boxing camp?
- Buy or borrow one pair per participant for simultaneous training, plus at least one spare pair for every 10 participants. Check sizes and condition no later than one day before the camp.
- How many drinks should I buy for a boxing camp?
- Start with two to three drinks per person for the first hour and prepare additional drinks for the rest of the programme. Chill the first supply before arrival and keep coolers accessible at the lunch and drinks point.
- When should I check boxing camp supplies?
- Complete the equipment and safety check at least 24 hours before the camp. Pack and bring all materials to the venue early enough to mark zones, hang punching bags and lay out mats before registration opens.
