What You Need for a Wellness Day
A wellness day needs more than yoga mats and herbal tea. Plan supplies for registration, refreshments, yoga, meditation and massage, and decide how many guests each item must serve. Provide one yoga mat and meditation cushion per participant, plus shared towels, blankets and eye pillows. Drinks, snacks and dietary alternatives should be ready before the first workshop, while massage supplies need enough stock for every treatment slot.

Tips
- Buy or hire one yoga mat and one meditation cushion per participant, then add two or three spare sets for replacements or late registrations. Keep blankets and eye pillows available for every meditation place.
- Plan at least 2 litres of water per participant for a full day, plus extra tea and coffee for the arrival period and breaks. Chill drinks before the venue opens and use coolers if the refrigerator cannot hold the full amount.
- For massage treatments, prepare one towel and one pillowcase per scheduled treatment, plus at least 10% extra. Check that massage oil bottles, aroma diffusers and essential oils are suitable for guests with allergies or sensitivities.
- Match serving supplies to your largest break: provide one water glass, coffee cup, plate and cutlery set per guest, with 10% extra for replacements. Two or three serving boards and enough teapots or kettles will prevent queues during shared breaks.
- Test portable speakers, rechargeable lamps, kettles and coffee machines at least one day before the wellness day. Bring extension cords and power strips, and keep cables away from yoga and meditation areas.
Frequently asked questions
- How many yoga mats do I need for a wellness day?
- Plan one yoga mat per registered participant, plus two or three spare mats. For 20 guests, prepare 22 or 23 mats so a damaged mat or late registration does not disrupt the session.
- How much water should I buy for a wellness day?
- Allow at least 2 litres of water per participant for a full-day programme, including water served during workshops and breaks. For 20 participants, start with 40 litres and add extra if the venue is warm or treatments are active.
- What massage supplies do I need for a wellness day?
- Prepare one massage table for each treatment running at the same time, along with one towel and pillowcase per treatment slot. Add at least 10% spare linen and check massage oil and essential-oil requirements before ordering.
- When should I buy supplies for a wellness day?
- Buy non-perishable wellness and serving supplies at least 3 to 5 days beforehand. Purchase fresh snacks and chill drinks on the day before or the morning of the event, depending on storage and freshness.
