What you need for a one-day Dutch course
A one-day Dutch course needs more than workbooks and pens. You will need materials for different participant levels, equipment for presentations, supplies for registration and enough coffee, tea and lunch service for the full group. Use the confirmed registration count to calculate quantities, then pack teaching materials separately from catering and technical equipment. Check cables, power and venue access before the course day, because replacing missing equipment at the last minute is difficult.

Tips
- Prepare one workbook, writing folder, notepad and ballpoint pen per participant, plus at least 5% extra for late registrations or damaged materials. Keep name badges and registration supplies together at the entrance.
- Bring teaching materials for each assigned level rather than one general set. Pack dictionaries, language games, flipchart pads and presentation cards in clearly marked groups so the instructor can reach them quickly.
- Test the laptop, projector, projection screen, HDMI cable, portable speaker and timer at the venue at least one day before the course. Bring the extension cords and power strips even if the room appears to have enough outlets.
- Plan coffee, tea and water for the whole day, not just the morning break. Set out cups, glasses, plates, cutlery sets and serving platters before participants arrive, and keep coffee makers, kettles and thermos flasks accessible for refills.
- Pack certificates separately from the working materials and check the participant list before printing or distributing them. Arrange tables, chairs, coat racks and the registration desk before the first arrival, allowing at least 30 minutes for classroom setup.

- How much catering should I buy for a one-day Dutch course?
- Base the order on the confirmed registration count and add around 10% for catering. Plan sandwiches and fruit for lunch, plus enough coffee, tea and water for morning and afternoon breaks.
- When should I test the projector and laptop for the course?
- Test all equipment at the venue at least one day before the course. Check the HDMI connection, sound, projection position, power strips and extension cords, and keep a backup presentation copy available.

- Allow at least 30 minutes before registration for tables, chairs, the classroom, registration desk and catering. Allow 45 to 60 minutes if the projector, speaker and other equipment still need connecting and testing.
