What You Need for a Music Quiz
A music quiz needs more than questions and a playlist. Plan drinks, coffee, snacks, tableware and serving equipment for the number of registered participants, then check the technical kit before shopping. You will also need practical items for answer sheets, team tables and registration. This list helps you buy and bring everything in time, including the small items that are easy to overlook on quiz day.

Tips
- Plan drinks by guest count: allow two to three drinks per person for the first hour, then one to two for each additional hour. Chill them at least 4 hours before guests arrive, and keep extra water available.
- Buy or bring one drinking glass per guest, plus at least 10% extra. For coffee, plan one cup per person for a short quiz and add spare cups for helpers and refills.
- Check the serving setup before shopping: you need plates for food, pastry plates for snacks, cutlery, serving platters and serving spoons. Put bottle openers, pitchers and napkins where guests can reach them before the first round.
- Test the laptop, projector, speakers and microphone at the venue at least 60 minutes before registration. Pack the correct audio cables, extension cords and power strips, plus spare batteries for the microphone or clicker.
- Print response forms and bring a USB stick with the presentation as a backup. Keep the quiz files, scoring sheet and answer key in two separate places so a missing laptop file does not stop the quiz.
