What you need for a foosball tournament

A foosball tournament needs more than tables and balls. Plan the equipment for keeping matches moving, the paperwork for registration and scores, and enough drinks and snacks for players who may stay several hours. Bring spare handles, lubricant and cleaning cloths before the first match starts, because small table problems can otherwise stop the schedule. This list also covers serving supplies, prizes, power equipment and cleanup essentials.

Tips

  • Plan at least 2–3 table football balls per table, so a lost or damaged ball does not pause a match. Keep spare balls at the registration desk rather than in a storage box across the venue.
  • Bring one scoreboard and one competition folder for each active table, plus at least 10% extra printed forms. A tournament with 8 tables should therefore have 9 scoreboards and 9 folders.
  • Pack one spare handle set, one bottle of lubricant and 2 microfiber cloths per table area. Check the tables before doors open, not after the first complaints from players.
  • Allow 2–3 drinks per person for the first hour and about 1 drink per person for each additional hour. Chill the drinks in coolers at least 4 hours before the tournament begins.
  • Prepare 1 reusable cup, plate and cutlery set per expected guest, plus 10% extra. Set out waste bins before food and drinks arrive so the registration desk does not become the cleanup point.
