Tips

Buy at least 10–12 eggs per child, plus 10% extra for damaged, missing or misplaced eggs. Pack each child’s eggs and prize separately before you start hiding them.
Prepare one basket for every child, with 5–10 spare baskets if attendance is uncertain. Add prize ribbons or other markers before guests arrive so distribution takes minutes, not half an hour.
Mark the search area with cones, barrier tape and colored chalk at least 60 minutes before the hunt. Keep a visible boundary around hazards, paths and areas that are off-limits.
