Prepare two score sheets and two ballpoint pens per table for every round, then add 10% extra. Pens disappear quickly when several matches are scored at once.
Buy or print one table number and one round card for each playing table. Make the numbers large enough to read from across the room, and pack tape for attaching signs and instruction posters.
Plan one clipboard per scoring table and keep calculators nearby if scores are added manually. Pack markers, scissors and spare name badges with the registration materials rather than leaving them at home.
For refreshments, count one coffee cup, glass and plate per guest, then add 10% extra. Chill drinks before guests arrive, and bring enough serving spoons and platters for snacks that are shared between rounds.
