- Allow 2–3 drinks per guest for the first hour, then about 1 drink per hour after that. Chill the first batch in advance and keep serving jugs or thermos flasks ready for non-bottled drinks.
- Plan at least 1 reusable cup per guest plus 10% extra, so 30 guests means 33 cups. Add plates, cutlery sets, serving trays, small bowls and serving spoons for the buffet rather than relying on household items.
