What you need for a CPR workshop

A CPR workshop needs more than manikins and an AED trainer. You also need a clear registration point, working presentation equipment, practice-station supplies and refreshments for the group. Plan quantities around the number of participants, then check cables, power and training devices before the day itself. This list helps you buy or bring the items that are most often forgotten, including name badges, certificates, notepads and enough serving equipment for coffee and drinks.

Tips

  • Set up one CPR manikin and one AED trainer per practice station where possible. If participants must share equipment, keep groups small enough that nobody waits through several demonstrations.
  • Prepare one name badge, badge holder, notepad and ballpoint pen for every participant, plus at least 5 extra sets for late registrations or damaged items.
  • Bring a complete presentation connection kit: laptop, HDMI cable, projector, projection screen, extension cords and power strips. Test the full setup at least 1 day before the workshop.
  • For coffee and tea, provide at least 1 mug and 1 glass per participant, then add 10% extra. Use coffee pots, kettles and thermos flasks so drinks remain available during practice sessions.
  • Keep hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies at each practice area or in a clearly marked central place. Check these supplies before participants arrive, not during the first exercise.

Frequently asked questions

What equipment do I need for a CPR workshop?
You need CPR manikins, AED trainers and presentation equipment such as a laptop, projector, screen and HDMI cable. For a smooth session, aim for 1 practice station per 4 to 6 participants.
How many CPR manikins do I need?
Use 1 manikin for every 4 to 6 participants if the workshop includes hands-on practice. For 20 participants, that means approximately 4 to 5 manikins so practice time does not become a queue.
What should I provide for CPR workshop participants?
Prepare 1 name badge, badge holder, notepad, ballpoint pen and presentation folder per participant, plus around 10% extra. Participation certificates should also be ready before the closing section.
When should I check the CPR workshop supplies?
Check the manikins, AED trainers, projector, laptop, cables and power strips at least 1 day before the workshop. Set out registration materials and refreshments on the day itself, before opening the venue.
