Tips

Match rescue equipment to the number of rescue staff and access points: life rings, throw lines and rescue boards must be ready before the first dive, not stored in a vehicle.
Prepare one complete judging station with scoreboards and jury forms, plus spare forms and pens in waterproof storage. Wet paper is easy to overlook until scoring starts.
Pack communication and visibility equipment for every operational team member. Water-resistant walkie-talkies, whistles and safety vests are much more useful when assigned before the briefing.
Keep medical supplies together at the treatment point and check expiry dates at least 7 days before the competition. Include the AED, first aid kits, neck braces, emergency blankets and eye wash bottles.
