Tips

Plan one answer form and one pencil or pen per child, plus at least 10% extra. Keep pencil sharpeners at the quiz table so broken or blunt pencils do not delay a round.
Prepare one score sheet per team and enough round cards for every quiz round. Print the questions and answer sheets at least one day before the quiz so missing pages can still be replaced.
For drinks, allow two to three servings per child for the first two hours, then add extra for adults and anyone staying longer. Chill the drinks before opening the venue and use serving jugs for shared drinks.
Count tables and chairs by team, not just by guest. Leave one registration desk and a separate buffet table, and check that every quiz table can see the projection screen.
