Tips

Prepare one workstation for every small group and place a cutting mat, utility knife, pencils and stamp materials at each table before participants arrive. Keep spare materials available for mistakes.
Buy or bring enough wood carving blocks, eraser blocks or linoleum panels for each participant to make at least one design, plus a few extras for failed cuts and late registrations.
Do not leave sharpening and drying equipment until the last minute: pencil sharpeners and hair dryers are easy to overlook but useful during design and testing.
Plan drinks by service rather than appearance: provide mugs for hot drinks, glasses and water jugs for cold drinks, and use kettles, coffee pots or thermos flasks to keep refills moving.
