Tips

• Prepare one origami paper pack and one instruction card set per participant, plus supplies for 10% more people than registered. Extra paper prevents the workshop from stopping when a model is folded incorrectly.
• Provide one pair of scissors, ruler, pencil, eraser, glue stick, and a few paper clips for every two participants. Keep at least two spare sets at the registration desk.
• Print the participant list, name badges, and instructions two to three days beforehand. Bring a pen set and markers for last-minute names, table signs, or notes.
• Set out one sample model for every technique you demonstrate and keep additional examples in storage boxes. Participants understand the steps faster when they can compare their work with a finished model.
• For coffee, tea, and snacks, plan two drinks per person for the first hour and one drink per hour after that. Check that you have enough cups, glasses, plates, spoons, serving trays, and extension cords before setup day.
