Tips
- Plan one measuring board, scale and set of fish-handling equipment for each active measuring station, then keep a spare scale or power bank available in case equipment fails.
- Allow at least one registration table, two chairs and a clear supply of race numbers and forms for the check-in period. Pack pens and spare forms separately so they do not get buried in the general equipment.
- Bring one keepnet, landing net and unhooking mat per fishing position where possible. Confirm that every item matches the local fishing rules before the competition, not on the morning itself.
- For a full outdoor day, provide shelter with party tents, coolers for drinks, waste bins and reusable cups. Chill drinks before departure; a cooler without ice or cold packs will not keep them cold for several hours.
- If the measuring station or registration desk has no mains power, take charged power banks and battery-powered LED lights. Extension cords and power strips are useful only after you have confirmed that a safe power source is available.
