What to Bring for a Dog Walk

Tips

Plan at least one water station every 3–4 kilometres, with a water bowl for each expected group of 8–10 dogs. Bring extra dog water bottles for participants who arrive without one.
Allow one waste-bag holder or dispenser per 10–15 dogs, then add a spare roll for every dispenser. Empty waste bins during the walk if the route has a long section without collection points.
Bring one backup dog lead for every 15–20 participating dogs, plus reflective vests for all route volunteers. Pack flashlights if any setup, return journey or route section may take place in low light.
